I am Mrs. Melody S. Collier, though most people know me by my radio name, “HotChocolate.” I am a God-chaser, motivator, friend, life insurance agency owner, licensed and ordained minister, prophetic voice and speaker, world traveler, greatness coach, entrepreneur, life insurance broker, philanthropist, and radio show owner and producer.

The name “HotChocolate” was given to me by my devoted great-grandfather when I was a little girl. He spoke it over me as a seal of affirmation and self-love, celebrating my rich, melanin beauty at a time when I was being bullied within my own community because of my dark skin—what we now call colorism. At 19 years old, God delivered me from the wounds of bullying and taught me how to truly appreciate the skin I’m in and to genuinely love every race and every shade of skin. As doors began to open for me to speak into the lives of others who were broken, “HotChocolate” became more than a nickname—it became my flag of victory.

With over 20 years as an insurance producer, I have risen to the top of my industry, earning awards, bonuses, and unforgettable incentive trips. I recently opened my own insurance agency in Jackson, Tennessee, with a mission to financially empower and transform the lives of other insurance producers. As a top 1% producer in my field, I am honored to be a trusted name throughout West Tennessee and beyond.

As a philanthropist, I now serve as president of my newest endeavor, Gifted Clay, Inc., an organization created to pour into and impact even more lives. My greatest desire is to bring God glory by using every gift He has placed inside of me as an instrument of change—on every platform, media outlet, pulpit, and stage He allows me to stand on.

After the recent loss of both of my heroes—my mother in August 2023 and my husband in July 2025—I have entered a new season of self-discovery. I was married to an incredible man, just three months shy of our 10-year anniversary, when my best friend went to heaven. As the only child of an absolutely amazing mother, taking time to heal and reset has been essential. Their transitions have reminded me to care for myself physically and mentally, and to pursue my purpose with renewed passion and urgency.

My favorite pastime and hobby is traveling the world. I am on a mission to experience as many continents, countries, cities, and cultures as possible—and I’m well underway. Traveling is part of my life’s calling. I carry the love of God with me as I meet new faces, embrace new hearts, taste new flavors, and immerse myself in cultures different from my own. What a big, beautiful world God has created for us to explore! Traveling truly feels like a gift from heaven.

I am also proud to share that Rick and Tammy Waycaster are my pastors, and First Assembly Milan is my Kingdom-connect home. I live on mission—listening closely to heaven and committed to manifesting every God-ordained purpose and promise spoken over my life… in this lifetime.
